This GUIDE has come about by my desire to assist parents who are willing to take responsibility for achieving vibrant health for themselves and their families. I’ll cover both the facilitation of a healing journey and supporting the creation of optimum well-being for our precious families.

I’ve always been a truth-seeker. I want to understand the whys and hows and what it’s really all about. Eighteen years of studying & working in an alternative medicine and complementary therapy environment taught me lots, but I’ve learned the most from my own personal experiences & talking with others about their own personal experiences.

In the modern western world, it can be extremely confusing to navigate through the overwhelming amount of information and conflicting opinions out there – online, on TV and out in the world. Especially if you are involved in the mainstream medical model, you will find that it can be quite frustrating seeking & finding clear, unbiased and factual information and guidance for your family.

Once you decide to learn the truth about the myriad of misinformation and deception for profits, which have influenced our choices affecting the health of our families, it’s a little like choosing the red pill – the veil is lifted and you can never go back!

I hope that this e-book will help you to make better choices when it comes to the well-being of yourself and your families. My intention is to present my years of experience and research into an unbiased and factual, easy-to-implement guide which you can begin today!

Maybe you’ve already taken that little red pill and are well on your way along the path of awareness & true well-being, or maybe you are about to pop it! If so then read on.

WEEK 1:

Educate Yourself! 🙂

The focus this first week is to become aware of the truth and agenda behind the current health system, and how you can empower yourself. I encourage you to start here, then research unbiased sources further if you choose to.

The ‘Sickness’ Industry

Aside from emergency care, where conventional medicine truly excels and saves countless lives and limbs, the conventional ‘disease-care’ model is little more than a painful and expensive ruse.

Strong words, I know, but I don’t know what else to call a system that is set up to keep you in an indefinite loop of disease and symptomatic treatment that leads to worsening of the disease state and more toxic medications …leading to a worsening of disease…. more invasive treatment, surgery, etc which all eventually leads to a premature death.

When you treat an ailment symptomatically, you’re becoming a patient for life, and making certain people obscenely wealthy in the process.

Client retention is vital for for-profit companies, and the pharmaceutical industry is the wealthiest for-profit industry in the world. Of course, they’re going to operate according to the same rules of business as any other company with tradable stocks.

There’s not a single pharmaceutical drug that isn’t toxic to the human body – not one!

If the medical system knew what they were doing in the fight against disease, why does it keep escalating every single year? Why is there more cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, bowel diseases etc every year, and not less?

In a world economy where information is filtered by global media corporations who’re keenly attuned to their powerful advertisers, it’s up to us as individuals to preserve our ability to make informed choices, ESPECIALLY when it comes to achieving and preserving our families wellness.

There are SO many examples.

Here are just a few to be aware of – research it yourself if you like, the information is all out there:

  • High fructose corn syrup (HFCS)

Taking samples of HFCS from 3 different manufacturers researchers found levels of up to 0.5ug of toxic mercury in each gram tested. HFCS is consumed in various foods to an average of 50g per day in the average population (by eating processed foods regularly) which equates to the consumption of 25ug per day of mercury!

Rising consumption has been linked to the epidemics of obesity, diabetes and metabolic syndrome in the U.S., and medical researchers have pinpointed various health dangers associated with the consumption of HFCS compared to regular sugar (as if regular sugar wasn’t bad enough). HFCS is now found in every type of processed, pre-packaged food you can think of, as it’s far cheaper to use, in manufacturing, than sugar.

  • Vaccinations

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was recently quoted to make the following very good point:

If you take that vaccine vial and break it, you have to dispose of that as hazardous waste. You have to evacuate the building. Why would you take that and inject it into a child?”

  • Deceptive marketing

The food and health marketplace is full of it. For example,  Aspartame producer Ajinomoto chose to rebrand it under the name AminoSweet, to “remind the industry that aspartame tastes just like sugar and that it’s made from amino acids – the building blocks of protein that are abundant in our diet.”

This is an example of deception at its finest! Begin with a shred of truth, and then spin it and twist to fit your own agenda.

The truth is that aspartame is a known neurotoxin and isn’t safe for internal use, period.

  • Fluoride in our water supply

A controversial issue I know. Here’s where the confusion lies:

There’s nothing wrong with Calcium Fluoride. In fact, we need it to build strong connective tissue, tooth enamel, joint, and bones.

Sodium fluoride, however, is quite different biochemically and has been shown to cause brain damage, Alzheimer’s disease, brittle bones, premature aging, suppresses frontal lobe function etc.

Dr William Hirzy is a chemistry researcher at American University in Washington and presented research showing that fluorosilic acid (the form of fluoride added to our water supply) is contaminated with arsenic. He has made this statement: ‘If this stuff (fluorosilic acid) gets into the air, it’s a pollutant; if it gets into the river, it’s a pollutant … but if it goes right into your drinking water system it’s not a pollutant. That’s amazing’. It’s not very logical is it?

It’s a by-product of aluminum production and has been put in the water supply to get rid of something they would otherwise have to pay to get rid of, and then propaganda & indoctrination has led people to think it is good for us. Ggrrrrrrh!

Government Agenda Controlling the Media

In an ideal world, agencies like the TGA would do the proper investigations and protect you from known health dangers, so you don’t have to. But there’s nothing ideal about the current state of affairs, so it’s imperative to do your own research and educate yourself about what toxins are lurking in your foods, drugs, cosmetics and other consumer products so that you can make the conscious choice to avoid them.

For thousands of years, rulers have kept their people under control by putting fear into their hearts. I don’t want to get all conspiracy on you, but I mean really, there’s always either a new virus or a war or a new threat to the environment or something to make everyone afraid enough to do what the government tells them.

The reality is that 33% of the world’s population uses 83% of the world’s resources and this is a major causative factor to all the unrest in the world.

But government- corporations/those in power don’t wish to look at causes because that would mean they too would need to change. So they only look at addressing the effects, a little like the medical paradigm of only looking at the symptoms.

We need to use our powers of discernment and start asking more questions before accepting everything we hear in the media. All forms of advertising, the news, TV shows and even movies heavily program us.

Ask yourself what are their motives? Who’s making money from this? Who’s funding the study? Research it yourself before blindly trusting what you hear.

It all comes back to taking responsibility and self-education.

On that note, I’d like to introduce you to what I’ve found through my practice and through the research of what some very clever people have discovered, in an attempt to de-mistify the body, mind and soul paradigm; which is an essential foundation to becoming an empowered health decision-maker.

BODY

The purpose of the physical body is to assimilate experience from the physical world.

When I talk about the human body I’m referring to 3 levels:

1/ Structural level

2/ Biochemical level

There is much focus on these 2 levels, however, I’d like to focus on what I feel to be the most important aspect of our body’s, the:

3/ Bioelectrical level – which also goes by the name the ‘Human Energy Field’, ‘the Spirit Body’ or as I’ll refer to it – the Body-Field.

Some refer to it as the ‘Bodymind’, so as you can see there’s an overlap of what we’ve commonly categorized into separate entities – the body and the mind.

The Bioelectrical level of our being has a physical body aspect that can be identified and measured through Quantum physics. It also has a strong correlation to the ‘Mind’ and this will be discussed further in the ‘MIND’ section.

All cells turn over within varyingly short periods, but the body structure essentially stays recognizably the same. It is the information (bio-electrical) pattern that holds it together.
 Matter is simply compressed energy.

Learning about the Body-Field opened the door which would lead to improvement in my own health and a greater understanding and insight to help other people in my work as a Naturopath.

This concept of energy fields has been taught for thousands of years through Chinese and Indian Ayurvedic medicine. But in the last 70 years, it’s been validated by scientific studies to be real, through the works of Dr Harold Burr, Dr Robert Becker, Valerie Hunt and many others. (For in-depth research on this subject refer to the book Vibrational Medicine by Dr Richard Gerber M.D. There are many others but I enjoyed this one & it’s one of the better ones)

Science & natural health experts now realize that your body isn’t only made up of tissue, blood vessels, and organs, but it’s also composed of energy, or chi, prana, life-force.

Some scientists call it ‘bio-photons’ and have demonstrated that we are constantly emitting these ‘bio-photons’ (which is basically light) from every cell.

So we’re like this ‘living matrix’ of light energy.

This energy is circulated through your body along specific meridians, and when points on your skin, corresponding to certain meridians, are manipulated the energy circulation and your internal organs are affected. Acupuncture is one particularly well-known modality used to manipulate the flow of energy through your meridians, but there are others.

Whatever happens in the Body-field (i.e. it becomes blocked or imbalanced) will always show up in the physical body (on the biochemical and structural levels) eventually, if it’s not resolved.

The body-field is affected by absolutely everything that carries a frequency – emotions and thoughts, electromagnetic radiation, even every food or drink we choose to put into our body’s affects us vibrationally.

With this knowledge, it’s important to have a strong line of defense for our
 Body-fields, which are constantly bombarded by Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) in the form of microwaves,  radiation, wi-fi, mobile phone towers and many other electromagnetic frequencies that can’t be seen by the human eye.

On the biochemical level, these harmful frequencies tend to cause inflammation within the human body, which is an underlying culprit in just about every disease state.

The study of frequencies raises an important question about the frequencies of the substances we eat, breathe, and absorb. All pollutants lower healthy frequency. Processed/canned food has a frequency of less than ZERO!! It is not just dead food but harmful due to the effect of significantly lowering our body-field frequency over time, which will eventually contribute to chronic illness.

Now I’m not saying we should be Nazi’s about it or live in fear of every little chemical! I occasionally use cans especially when my time’s limited with a young baby. But I’ll use the BPA free ones, and if I use a can of legumes in dinner I’ll make sure there’s loads of fresh veggies in there as well to balance it out 🙂

When there’s chronic illness, there are many factors at play. What many people don’t realise is that when they have a chronic disease it’s taken YEARS for their bodies to slowly decline into that state, and there are multiple layers of bugs & microbes, toxins etc piled on top of weakened organs to the point where tissue has started to become less efficient in its function, then over more time, to degenerate.

It’s important to understand and accept that true healing comes about not by something that gives you a quick fix by temporarily suppressing symptoms, but by gradually peeling off these layers and restoring correct frequency to the body-field so that they are not susceptible to these layers piling on all over again.

The organs become weakened because the body has experienced the stress of disharmonious frequencies long-term, due to various factors, including stress and suppressed emotion.

These days we’re bombarded with not only EMR but all sorts of super-strains of microbes, viruses, and thousands of new chemicals being produced all the time.

Conventional medicine just does not currently have the tools to determine the real root/s of a health problem, which is why we need to be our own detectives and healers.

We are indeed moving towards a model of medicine that employs physics rather than chemistry. It’s a whole new paradigm that is bound to change the practice of medicine forever!

 

MIND

When we look into ancient medicine like TCM & Ayurveda we see they’ll often refer to the ‘bodymind’ – one word, as they are actually one in the same.

In orthodox medicine, there’s a tendency to compartmentalise everything. When we have a problem with the kidneys orthodox medicine doesn’t take into account the connection between the kidneys and the lungs, the kidneys and the skin, or the emotions which affect the kidney.

Even naturopathic medicine tends to separate the mind & the body whereas in ancient traditions they never did.

When we look at true healing we need to look at the whole picture, we can’t separate individual aspects.

The mind is also referred to as the Energy body or the Spirit Body.

The truth is that the brain of the material body is used by the mind of the energy body to express itself.

Consciousness studies are among some of the most exciting frontier studies of science today, and what’s being shown is that our minds are actually more like a ‘field’ than something only existing in the head, and actually spreads out around us. Studies have shown that memory is not stored in any particular part of the brain.

Another term that is used – the ‘morphogenic field’ – describes similar constituent molecules expressed in different ways (hence the word ‘morph’) to make up our individual body field. It’s this ‘field’ that decides which piece of information is ‘taken out of the library’ and expressed from the DNA.

This is the true control system of the body, not chemistry or genes. It’s information coming from this field, and we are able to put new ‘coherent’ information into the body to affect wellness.

Disease is the result of scrambled information, once you correct the distortion, the physiology and chemistry correct itself.

It’s been demonstrated that all thoughts are made up of frequency and also that we are made up of electrons which all vibrate at a particular frequency.

And in order to move an electron from a lower to a higher orbit (frequency) an energy signature with very specific frequency characteristics is required.
 An electron will only accept energy of the appropriate frequency to move from one energy level to another.

This is why they say ‘like attracts like’.

Therefore whatever frequency your thoughts are vibrating at, you’ll attract more of the same. So yes, it’s true that negative thoughts attract negative people and events and the more positive your thoughts, the more positive will be our experiences and what we attract into our lives.

Let’s not forget though, that the mind of the body-field (our thoughts) is ENTIRELY under the influence of the soul’s emotions, and for most unknowingly and unconsciously……

 

SOUL

Throughout human history, the soul has been considered to be the core or essence of a living being.
 In Aristotle’s view, a living thing’s soul is its activity, its “life”. For example, if a knife had a soul, the act of cutting would be the soul, because ‘cutting’ is the essence of what it is to be a knife.

According to Plato, the soul body comprises three parts:

  1. The logos – intelligence, reason, and will
  2. The Thymos – emotions
  3. The Eros – desires

The soul is the passionate heart of you, containing Emotion – both error-based and truthful, Passion, Desire, Feelings, Aspirations, Intentions, Will, Memory, Personality, Instinct, etc.

It’s this emotional aspect of us which is the real cause of all thoughts, words and actions, experiences and expressions on the Bodymind level. Emotions that have been suppressed and not completely experienced get stuck within us and create disharmony.

Science defines this part of us as the ‘subconscious mind’ because it appears that we have no control over it – the truth is we do. This concept often results in the inability of a person to take responsibility for their own conduct, since there’s a tendency to place “blame” on the “unconscious mind” for behavior that we personally find unacceptable within ourselves.

You may have heard, in new age circles, of the ‘Law of Attraction’, which is actually totally governed by and operating from the soul level.

And this key is the missing element to the popular teachings today.

This is what creates our reality – events which ‘happen’ to us, the environment we create, habits and patterns, thoughts and behavior, dynamics with others, prosperity – or lack of it, and of course our physical health.

This is contrary to many popular New Age teachings about the intellect controlling our ‘Law of Attraction’, and the belief that we can simply ‘choose’ positive thoughts in order to attract what we want in our lives.

So if this is where it all comes from, if this is the ‘causal’ level, then why don’t we approach it at this level?

The way society tends to deal with most emotions is to suppress them; rise above it, minimize it, move past it (all resulting in suppression); ‘Get back on the horse, don’t let life beat you down, don’t be a sissy, just get over it’ etc, etc.

This is probably not the best way of looking after ourselves when we know that suppressing emotions leads to physical, and other problems 😕 So we need to explore other methods that reach the heart of the issue.

New Age philosophies and many meditative techniques also encourage the distancing from emotional experience, teaching that we can ‘meditate away’ our concerns, placing a nice peaceful veil over the top.

Cultivating true happiness, however, is more than just saying some affirmations and glossing over our real feelings with an automated mental response.

True spiritual healing is actually more than the many metaphysical forms of healing which focus on the Body-field/Spirit Body, skipping over the causal emotions so that it’s recreated again.

It’s facing our deeply with-held, childhood emotions of fear, grief, pain and shame, allowing them to release completely, never to return again.

Unresolved trauma and emotional patterning from previous generations often become the source and the causative event of illness in later generations because it’s passed down from our parents.

There’s a saying that ‘The organs weep the tears the eyes refuse to shed’, so if we suppress & push emotions down, if we don’t acknowledge them and allow them to be expressed and released then those stuck emotions will eventually damage organs and systems within our bodies.

Humans have known this for a very long time; however, science is only just beginning to prove it. In reality, the proof is in the results we get when we start to heal the whole being rather than just the parts.

Most psychologists and psychiatrists now agree that crying is a good way to reduce tension and that bottling up emotions can lead to serious health problems such as depression and heart disease.

Studies are demonstrating this, one of the most recent by German doctor Ryke Geerd Hamer who has worked with over 20,000 cancer patients over the last 10 years, and found that there had been some kind of emotional conflict a few years before the onset of their disease, a conflict that had never been fully resolved.

Dr Hamer started including psychotherapy as an important part of the healing process and found that when the specific conflict was resolved, the cancer immediately stopped growing at a cellular level.

Studies have also shown that adopted children express inherent tendencies just as much as a biological child of the parents would, just by being exposed to the dynamics of that family and the emotional injuries of the parents and their parents and so on.

‘Epigenetics’, a more recent scientific field, demonstrates the effects of environmental influence on genetic expression. It’s been hypothesized and also demonstrated that a parent who experienced emotional trauma experienced epigenetic changes which were passed on to their children.

Studies are now revealing that there are 30,000 + expression varieties of each gene blueprint!

This demonstrates the irrelevance of the actual physical genes themselves and indicates the importance and power of what is truly being passed on to our children – our unresolved emotions, whether we’re conscious of them or not.

Most people go along to a healer or therapist with the intention of ‘I just want to feel better’, ‘I want you to fix me and take my pain away’, rather than setting an intention to deal with what’s creating the problem.

So we’re actually setting our intention to get away from ‘painful’ emotions.
 But your body is telling you that you have an emotion locked within it, that’s causing the illness, so it’s the emotion that needs to be experienced and released or you’ll continue to recreate the illness.

An example could be the many ‘serial’ chiropractor visitors because a certain part of your body always seems to ‘go out’. There may be a continual avoidance pattern of really connecting to what your body is telling you.

It’s a bit like weeding the garden; the plant will sprout again if there are any roots still in the soil until we completely remove all the roots.

Our bodies are beautiful, perfect systems – when we deal with the cause we’ll never have the symptom again.
 However, most people go through life never experiencing causal emotions so we go around carrying them like lead weights that seem to become heavier and heavier the longer we carry them.

I’m not suggesting that we go digging for these stuck emotions but perhaps just to set your intention to deal with emotions as they come up rather than avoid them. Be authentic about it, allow it to be triggered and let the emotion come up, and pass through you until it has released completely.

This generally only happens when we get our mind out of the way and become a bit more like our children – vulnerable, open and allowing.

I like to think of it a little like having a splinter. And I ask myself what would I prefer – a bit of pain as the splinter is plucked from the tender skin and it’s all over and gone for good, or a long-term nagging pain because you’re afraid of the pain of plucking it so it stays under the skin aggravating and aggravating.

All pain in the body is coming from fear – fear of dealing with the underlying emotion, even childbirth. E.g. a headache is fear of feeling deep grief (often so deep you may not even know it’s there anymore).

Try breathing into it and feel it………Say to yourself ‘I am in denial of an emotion. I wonder what it is?’ Be open and curious, and see what comes up.

Our mind often accepts feelings it classifies as “good” or pleasurable, and there’s a temptation to ignore all feelings classified as “bad” or painful. So, the mind, in the attempt to feel only the pleasure, will deny the painful feelings, and in the process, deny ALL feelings.

The more emotion we shut down, the more we shut down emotionally – generally, and we can end up being quite numb, completely detuned to our emotional being.

So the more we allow ourselves to feel unconditionally, the more we start to really feel the good stuff too! Like real love, and real joy!

There’s no better feeling than knowing that you have all the tools you need within yourself to heal – body, mind & soul. We can teach this to our children, via our example, and support them towards being the powerful creators that they are, and to create the life of their dreams!

 

Week 2:

Over the next 2 weeks start to move through the following 10 steps to achieving Fantastic Whole Health for your entire family. Try to achieve one of the steps each day, with a day or two at the end of each week to integrate what you have learned,  practised and implemented.

 

1/  Take responsibility and teach your children to also

Know absolutely that you create your own reality and your own health. There are NO exceptions to this law. Maintaining a victim mentality simply denies yourself the opportunity to learn and grow. When we’re stuck in blaming, judging or criticizing we remain blind to the true cause of any disharmony.

True healing has to start with a person taking total responsibility for their well-being, to not be looking outside for someone else to give it to them. 
A therapist can facilitate, educate and guide, but ultimately we have to learn to be our own healers.

When we teach our children that they need a doctor, medicine etc we’re disempowering them and teaching them to be dependent on a highly unloving system.

Let yourself really consider and feel about this today.

Some good questions to ask are:

  • Where have I not wanted to take responsibility in my life, for my health and/or anything else I create?
  • Why have I not wanted to take responsibility? What do I get from not taking responsibility? What has it allowed me to do or not do?

 

2/  Learn to love yourself

Choose ONLY situations, actions, relationships etc, which are loving to YOU. If you don’t do this, you’re not being loving to ANYONE.

I see so many parents stuck in patterns where they are sacrificing their own health & happiness ‘for the children’ and their families, not realizing that it is far more loving and beneficial for everyone around them to put love-of-self FIRST.

Your children will learn this from you and also benefit greatly from this in their lives. Otherwise what they learn is that love is self-sacrifice, and this is not a truth, and sets them up for addiction and potential pain later.

Let yourself really consider and feel about this today.

Some good questions to ask are:

  • Where do I struggle to love myself in my life, make sacrifices or put others first?
  • Can I see or feel about where this pattern started, maybe in my childhood?
  • How do I feel about this?
  • What can I do to start changing this today?

 

I put these step before nutrition and lifestyle because when you have mastered steps 1 and 2, steps 3 and 4 will come naturally and easily!

3/  Nutrition

Today, begin to take the following steps:

–   Throw out 
everything in your cupboard and fridge which has numbers on the label. 
Start here. Begin to eat & buy ONLY real, whole foods rather than processed, refined and packaged.

–  Eat organic fruit and vegetables where possible. Otherwise, soak in

–  Eat a good percentage of raw and fermented foods so you are getting living enzymes in you diet.

4/  Lifestyle

Your task the rest of this week is to take the steps towards creating the following changes in your life, which may involve throwing things away, vowing to no longer expose yourself and your family to certain toxins, making healthier purchases, and investing in a few essential items to protect & support yourself and your family.

Water – Drink 2 – 3 litres clean filtered water daily. A good guideline is 1 glass per hour as our bodies can process little more than that.

Avoid softened or distilled water. This has the wrong ionization, pH, polarization and oxidation properties and will drain your body of minerals.

Your shower is also a significant source of chlorine exposure unless you are on tank water, so it is worthwhile putting a shower filter on your showerhead.

Exercise – Pump oxygen round and we feel clear and bright again.

Less movement = lowered oxygen = lowered chi/life-force = stagnation and disease.

It doesn’t have to mean slogging it out at the gym! Be creative & choose exercise you enjoy.

Try the ‘5 Tibetans which will work every muscle in the body and encourage circulation of chi through all energy channels.

Choose an exercise you enjoy, even if it is just a half hour walk, and commit to doing this 5-6 days a week

Sunlight – if you’re not getting regular safe sun exposure you’ll be vitamin D deficient. This is a vital nutrient for good immune function. Daily sunshine increases melatonin production in the pineal gland which is essential for good sleep.

Avoid using regular sunscreen which is full of chemicals, which are absorbed through the skin, and go for a clean, chemical-free one like this one.

Sleep – going to sleep by 10 pm is best for adrenal gland health. No thinking activities after 8 pm – make this winding down time. Design a winding down ritual that suits you after the kids go to bed, e.g. Bath/shower/foot bath with essential oils, self- massage with relaxing oil blend, herbal tea.

Avoid toxins – this includes radiation exposure,  vaccinations,  medications (where possible), household chemical cleaners (use Miracle 11 products instead), processed or sprayed foods, etc and protect against EMR (Eletro-magnetic Radiation).

Avoid microwaved food and water, root canal or mercury fillings, generic fluoride toothpaste, and use toxin-free cookware such as glass or stone.

 

5/  Learn to Be in the Moment

Even though it’s already been a busy week with all the redesigning to your lifestyle, beginning to practice mindfulness is the final important element to this week. This is a practice that’s even MORE important when we ARE busy, even though those are the times when it can often be the most challenging to do this.

Many of us are constantly in our heads thinking about the past or the future. If you’re not fully present in each moment you can’t perceive what life is presenting you to show you what’s blocked.

The Law of Attraction is continually operating through our lives and through our bodies, to show us where we’re holding emotions that are blocking the healing and creative power of love from flowing. There are so many reasons why being consistently in the moment is so powerful.

So regularly practice feeling the body, deep breathing and being fully present in your body.

When you are fully grounded and present, your children will feel this, and automatically learn this also.

Your task today and the rest of this week is to notice the times when you go a little ‘out of body’, become heady and anxious, disconnected to your body, your breath and how you feel.

At these times, good questions to ask are:

  • What was going on for me, or around me at the time?
  • What feeling did this trigger or how was I feeling?
  • Can I see a pattern around this?

More Mind & Soul Food 🙂

6/  Breathe!!

Today your task is to focus on your breathing, and to see if you can integrate this awareness into the rest of the week, and then make a more permanent habit of it.

Stress creates patterns of shallow breathing or over-breathing which changes blood pH & affects electrolyte balance. Clear, calm thinking encourages good breathing and vise versa.

Good breathing also keeps you connected to the body and quietens a busy mind, helps us to develop our connection to the heart and get out of the head.

Try the Pelvic Breath which pumps chi through the entire body, encourages clarity, increases energy and libido and strengthens the back:

1. Breathe through the nose, letting the abdomen expand and allowing the bottom of the pelvis to rock slightly backward.

2. Imagine the breath filling first the pelvic bowl, then the upper abdomen, the chest and upper lungs then right up into the forehead.

3. As you exhale imagine the breath leaving the head, chest, lower diaphragm and slowly rock the pelvis forward, slightly squeezing the abdominal muscles and finally the anus area briefly.

4. Pause before the next inhalation, then let go of the abdomen and begin the inhalation again.

A much simpler technique works too. I like to do this one when my 9-month-old is unsettled. It’s amazing how many times this has helped him off to sleep, just holding him and breathing…

  • Breathe in to the count of 4, breathe out to the count of 5 and continue.

Note that the longer out breath is calming, where if you switch it around and do a longer in breathe, this will be more energizing.

 

7/  Be Authentic……. With yourself and with others.

Today’s focus is to see if you can get a little more real and honest with yourself. Ask throughout the day ‘what’s the underlying emotional reason why I am making the choice I am now making?’

Ask yourself am I coming from fear or am I coming from love?

Speak the truth no matter what the consequences. 
The truth reveals and heals!

Teach your children that it’s okay to speak the truth, rather than unsafe, no matter what!

8/  Allow yourself to FEEL!

Today, your focus is your Emotional Self.

It’s so important to teach your children that it’s okay for them to feel whatever they are feeling.

As you purify, detox and heal, emotions will rise up to the surface to be released. Let yourself feel the emotion to its end or until it changes (drops into a deeper emotion). Let go of the mind wanting to distract you or shut it down, and just allow and surrender to the feeling. Once it’s passed through you and released, it’s gone for good!

What you don’t feel won’t heal!

9/  Nurture your true desires

Today your task is to connect to your hearts true desires and act upon them! Again this is such a gift to teach this to our children – to stay connected to what they really want in their hearts and to be true to those desires.

Note that sometimes our true desire is not what we think it is and what we think is a true desire may not really be coming from the heart.
 So if you’re unsure give yourself time to sit with the desire and explore and feel into it. Eventually, you will know whether it’s coming from love or fear.

Today, make sure you take action on at least one sincere hearts desire or a passion you have neglected.

 

10/  Connection to Our Creator

Finally, this would have to be the most important focus. If we can integrate this connection into our daily lives, it will support, nurture and guide you, and provide a strong foundation for everything good in your life.

Cultivate Faith, and your individual connection to God, to our Creator, whatever that means to you.

When you truly develop this connection, nothing else will feel as important and all of the meditation techniques, the metaphysical theories, the healing techniques and new- age teachings will pale in comparison to this direct connection.

This level is the most private and personal, and is the most important part of what guides you and allows true healing to occur. It’s also the mechanism through which you do your own healing, rather than relying on an outside therapist or physician.
